I see the serial number but does anybody know what actual Lancair kit it is?

I placed a teaser AD in Barnstormers and ended up talking with Chris Smith in Florida, who is Tim Ong's cousin (Lancair historical figure for those who don't know). Chris will have Tim call the owner about this airplane. Good luck!

The FAA records show deregistered, s/n BJR-1, fast build.

Thats what I found. Most of these will reflect what ES kit it is from Lancair vs what they designate it to be.

I've had a lot of calls on this plane from the Barnstormer ad I placed. Was this engine pickled? It would be nice to have it go to a someone who has the time and expertise to complete it. Good luck.

Oh my goodness. I've had a ton of calls on this airplane, 5 today alone. If someone doesn't buy it soon, I'll be surprised. The calls have been to trailer it to GA, OR, UT, FL and other states. One caller wanted to fly it out. Another texted me "50k cash if no engine corrosion". I blocked that dim wit.
The ES is a popular airframe and it would be good to see it back flying again with the proper work done to account for the period of inactivity. good luck!

Jonathan, I tried to reply to your email, but it bounces back as undeliverable.

The LancairTalk switchboard was buzzing with gossip today. Overheard was that the FADEC ES may be under contract and soon trailered to a shop for refurbishment, engine, paint, avionics and back in the air again. Send pics if/when that happens.

I would like to thank the Lancair Talk group for making the sale of my Dads ES. It is now safely in Georgia at Avaition Composites in Richards most capable hands. The move went as smoothly and certainly helps to have experience in this department. Thank you Paul for your work with all the questions and phone calls you took on the airplanes behalf. The ES is going to fly again and that’s the best outcome I could ask for. Jonathan Gosselin
