Good news and bad news. For the owner, bad news was a prop strike last week while taxiing (right brake failed while heading back to ramp). The aircraft struck two taxi lights. There is no discretion for this type of strike according to MT and Continental so if you are the buyer then the good news is:
-New MT deiced prop is being ordered from Germany.
-Engine will be IRAN'd at Barrett. All Sept-2019 SBs for gearing will be implemented with new parts. Everything will be examined and checked per Continental bulletins.
-Single Magneto will undergo mandatory overhaul.
For the buyer, this aircraft will have an engine with fresh IRAN from Barrett, a new MT prop and everything will be even in newer condition than when this ES-P was first listed. Call Paul for details and options on the engine. Cylinders are low time but for additional costs they can be replaced with new and the engine can also be OH'd if that is desired. Expected delivery and inspection Late December 2020. The prospective buyer is encourage to call for pricing options and everything should be ready in 6-8 weeks. Final inspection, annual condition and IFR checks can be done concurrently. Training, ferrying and inspections are all available.
This listing will not last. I get 3-5 calls and emails daily on this beautiful airplane. Tonight is the first time we can outline the plan for return to service. I attended a call with Rhonda Barrett and this engine will get top-notch service from Barrett as always. This listing will re-appear in Controller October-30. Good luck. And, if you think it can't happen to you, learn from others, stay humble, add brakes checks to your checklists (both sides) and stop when things are not as expected.
