This IV-PT has the newest "H" model FCU from the factory sporting 50% faster start with lower temps. This is an amazing airplane doing 319 KTAS yesterday at FL 280.

The price point on this airplane is completely unreal. Nobody has pressurized airplanes at FL280 doing 319 Knots for under a million dollars today. This one won't last. It is current, it is flying, it has lots of features and was built by the existing owner with all kinds of awards.

If you are in the market for a IV-PT then give a call to Paul 1-866-300-KNOT (5668) or email sales@lancairtalk.net.

Todd, I spoke to the builder/owner. The plane has 3 awards and he spent 7000 hours on it. He was describing the emotions that go with having to part with his Lancair. Anyway, we moved to the technical issues and his former mission when it was at 124g (prior to expansion) was an easy 745nm leg florida to Texas for cheap fuel stop then up to California. He then added capacity in the belly and baggage to 142g. He told me this morning he plans at 34gph which is slightly conservative. He has a matrix on fltplan.com that works out typically to within a gallon when winds and trip details are forecast in a flight plan.

Using that extra fuel he suggested that the typical leg he flew of 745 (westbound) should be extended by 180nm with that additional fuel and he would think 925nm would be a good planning number.

If you are headed into Florida at 900nm and the weather is night or less than perfect then you have to plan some approaches and then it gets tight. I would suggest the most people (including me) with turbines looking at a less-than-perfect forecast would land early, top up, and then go into the final destination with lots of "outs". Florida at night is notorious for black holes, fog, visual confusion over water and other factors. In the daytime, storms, traffic, re-routing, detours around cells can add 20-50 miles. If it is VMC with lots of alternates nearby I would think 900nm is fine (as the owner suggests this morning). With complications, he would top up earlier, he said. Owner has 30,000 hours and was the top training capt at American and he admits to being conservative but it matches what I typically did in the TBM 700.

This has a terrific Walter that Quentin has just reviewed in detail and the newest "H" version of the FCU which is a $40,000 addition this year. There is no other airplane under a million that even comes close. I'm trying to convince the owner to take it to OSH this summer. It won't come home if he does.

Let me know if you need more details or data. There has been a good amount of interest and first refundable deposit takes it off the market so you can do the rides and complete your inspections quietly. If you think you might be interested then lock it up and get it done before someone else does. Anyone seriously considering this deal should call me to discuss the options to move forward or answer questions like Todd's.

The owner reports the new "H" version of the FCU is fantastic. He reported this past weekend that starts are faster and 70F cooler. The altitude compensation worked very well at his last two flights FL270/280 on Flightaware.

This 319KTAS monster is available for purchase. Owner is motivated to sell this year. Annual condition inspection schedule for Sept / 2022 and everything works perfectly.

We demo'd the aircraft in southern California last week and everything is in great condition for a new owner. Don't forget to talk to LancairTalk about insurance and training. Do not call your insurance broker about buying any Lancair until speaking with us.

Recent report from Walter (owner) is the new "H" FCU is really remarkable. He reports the start temps are 50-60 lower than the previous FCU. In the past, the TSLM would limit temps on start and now the H model never gets to those same limits. Still available. Recent inspection finished. 319KTAS. Half the price of a Cirrus.
