OP-WTS: Jacks for Lancair 235/320/360, Legacy, or IV
Thu Feb 29, 2024 10:29 pm
Stable jacks for lifting your Lancair. Low enough to go under a 235 with flat tires. High enough to do the gear swing on an Outback 360. Width is adjustable to fit any of the LNC2 models. Automotive scissor jacks on each side allow fine adjustment for leveling, and never sag.
$500 + $150 shipping in continental US (Canada $170, Europe ~$250)

More photos of the better jacks:
Available in white:
Someone should wash the belly of my airplane.
And in black:
Plus the overspray protects my flatbed trailer from rust.
Adjustable width:
Either a ratcheting wrench or speed handle is provided with each set.
Convenient storage for the jack handle:
Top contact pad swivels to accommodate the shape and tilt of the aircraft belly: Not shown is a contact pad made from genuine Cheng Shin used innertubes.
Use better jacks so you don't end up in the Vanbulance!
Can be motorized, but I don't really recommend it:

Thanks to Lancair owner, Robert Devine, for posting this review of the jacks.
I did travel to Albuquerque with the jacks in my checked baggage on Southwest Airlines, though that did take some care to pack in boxes that are within their free baggage size allocation.
Pinkie, the Pink Lancair 320 was successfully jacked and repaired as part of its delivery to new owner, Harley.
After our use on Pinkie, the jacks were delivered to Noah, who is also building a 320/360 at KAEG Double Eagle Airport.
