These are really stunning pieces of work. Would there be a possible Legacy version? Would a batch buy make it more attractive? I have to believe there is interest.

Paul,
Anything is possible. :) Originally I got into spinner fabrication to replace my own. A pro-football sized dude used my spinner as an arm rest and when he pushed himself off, everyone around heard that cracking fiberglass sound.
Then there was the propensity for the 360 to crack aluminum back-plates. I had a 250F cure prototype on my plane for 16 years. Local 360 acquaintances were suffering back-plate failures, so I went ahead and had a male/female mold made for use with 350F cure material.

I don't know much about the Legacy spinner - don't even know the diameter. Up front investment in molds is the big hurdle.

Jim,
Unfortunately not. At the moment all I have are 12" spinners primarily for the 320/360 series.

Sean,
Yes. There are some on fixed pitch installations. I just need to save a blank back plate and not mill the hub pattern. At the moment everything on the shelf is already milled for the Hartzell constant speed.

These are made of high temperature epoxy cured at 350 deg F and 150 psi. Precision milled bolt and hub pattern fits the Hartzell compact hub. $275

Light Weight Carbon Spinners also available. $250
(includes section to back fill behind blades)

Hello Chris,

I am very interested in a complete Carbon Fiber spinner, but I would need it to fit my 3 blade whirlwind propeller. Do you offer these as turn key units?

Thank you

Darcy,
The typical back-plate is drilled/milled for the the Hartzell hub. For a handful of other props, I have skipped the hub cut-out and only drilled a center pilot hole. I am not too familiar with Whirlwind props. I see on their website they have many hub styles.
The typical spinner has two re-enforcing pads where the prop blades exit. These are to slightly stiffen the edge of the blade cut-out. There is no reason one couldn't be made with three pads. The blade cut-outs are left to the owner builder as the actual blade type and blade position will be a bit different on every installation. I do include back-fill pieces to fit behind the blades after the blade opening is finished. This just means you don't have to try to salvage the cut-out to use as back fill.
