ESCO NLG REBUILD TOOLING WANTED FOR HIRE/ PURCHASE AUSTRALIA

Tue Nov 18, 2025 5:12 pm

HI THERE,
HAS ANYONE IN AUSTRALIA AQUIRED OR MANUFACTURED THE ESCO TEST FIXTURE 91-68 AND SPANNER, LEAD IN TOOL 91-130, INTERNAL PLUG INSERTION TOOL 91-31, FILLER PLUGS 91-132. (OR ANY OTHER JIGS AND TOOLS NEEDED)
AFTER READING THE LANCAIR ESCO STRUT REBUILDING DOCUMENT 011-0005, I AM WEIGHING UP THE MOST EFFICIENT WAY TO GET ONE ESCO NLG STRUT FOR A 320 REBUILT. IF THE TOOLING OR DRAWINGS FOR TOOLS ARE READILY AVAILABLE I WILL REBUILD IN MY CAR30 MAINTENANCE FACILITY IN HERVEY BAY, QUEENSLAND.
FAILING THE TOOLING OR DRAWINGS BEING READILY AVAILABLE, WHO IS EVERYONE SENDING THEM TOO FOR REPAIRS IN THE STATES? ARE THERE NEW STRUTS AVAILABLE AT A COMPETATIVE PRICE, BEARING IN MIND THAT I'D BE PAYING DOUBLE FOR FREIGHT IF REBUILDING.
THANKS GUYS.

Chris, I believe most people have created their own tools for disassembling and repair. There are a lot of photos in the archives of struts being taken apart and repaired. If you need seals, I have those in bulk also and there are pictures available of the parts from LancairTalk. If you decide to make your facility available for strut repairs let me know and we can set aside some space for that information.
